It is most commonly found in people who have a history of sun or skin allergy. Regular use of perfumes or any other irritant chemical, cosmetics etc. also cause more severe allergic reactions.

Meaning: In the above sloka, the reasons for the vitiation of Pitta dosha have been explained. Pitta dosha is aggravated due to the intake of spicy, sour, salty and hot food, angry mental state, during sharad season and afternoon, mid-night and at the time of digestion of food.

What is the Ayurvedic Treatment of Sun Allergy?

  • Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, green gram, fresh fruits and salads, watermelon juice, gooseberry in the diet.
  • Regular exercise in the early morning is also recommended.
  • Fully cover the body while going out in the sun.
  • Intake of spicy food and non-vegetarian should be avoided.
  • Tea/coffee, alcohol consumption should be avoided.
  • Heavy physical exercise during noon is not recommended.
  • Cigarette smoking, mental stress and day sleep should not be done.
  • Some yoga exercises such as Trikonasana, Uthanasana, Janu Sirasna, Pawanmuktasana and Chakarasna can be done under expert guidance.
