- In Flatulence (Adhmana) –Seed is collected crushed and made into fine powder. It is then taken internally at a dose of 5g.
- In disordersof Vata (Vatavyadhi) – Powder of Methika is taken internally at a dose of 5g daily will check diseases caused by aggravation of Vata dosha.
- To promote intellect (Medhadhi janaka) – Herb is collected and tied in a cloth. It is then tied around palm, neck and head of children.
- In Inauspiciousness (Alakshmi) – Juice of Methika is processed with ghee and taken.
- In Diabetes (Prameha) – Decoction is made of Methika and taken to cure diabetes.
- In Cough (Kasa) – Powder of Methika is mixed with honey and taken repeatedly to cure cough.
- In Fever (Jwara) – Decoction or water processed of Methika taken to cure fever.
- In Anorexia (Aruci) – Juice of Methika is mixed with honey and taken.
