According to Ayurveda, sun allergy may result from an imbalance of the Tridoshas, particularly the aggravation of Pitta Dosha. Individuals with this imbalance may develop allergic skin reactions upon exposure to direct sunlight. Common symptoms include rashes, hyperpigmentation, itching, blisters, and red bumps. In modern medicine, a type of sun allergy is known as solar urticaria.
