IAFA Ayurveda has announced the publication of a research article titled “Development of the PAAM Model for Personalized Ayurvedic Allergy Assessment and Management” in the International Journal of Ayurveda and Pharma Research (IJAPR), Volume 14, Issue 9.
The publication introduces the PAAM (Prakriti-Aligned Ayurveda Medicine) Model, a structured approach developed to support personalized Ayurvedic assessment and management of allergic disorders. The model integrates classical Ayurvedic principles with a systematic clinical workflow designed to support individualized patient care.
The PAAM Model considers multiple patient-specific parameters, including Prakriti, Vikriti, Agni, Ama, Ojas, Satmya, Ahara, Vihara, environmental factors, digestive and mucosal health, and allergy history. These factors are evaluated collectively to help create an individualized clinical profile for physician-led management.
The research also presents the digital implementation of the PAAM Model, incorporating structured patient questionnaires, rule-based assessment, clinical documentation, digital image records, assessment report generation, physician review, and longitudinal follow-up. The digital application is designed as a clinical support tool and does not replace the clinical judgment of the treating Ayurvedic physician.
The publication further introduces PRISM (Prakriti-Regulated Immune and Systemic Modulation) as a proposed therapeutic concept within the PAAM framework. It organizes personalized Ayurvedic management around five interconnected domains: physiological reset, regulated Agni, aligned Dosha, nourished Ojas, and activated Satva. PRANA is presented as the broader therapeutic focus representing constitutional harmony, vitality, adaptive resilience, and long-term well-being.
The research focuses on the development and digital implementation of the PAAM Model and does not evaluate its diagnostic accuracy, therapeutic effectiveness, or clinical outcomes. The publication identifies future clinical validation and research as important next steps.
This publication highlights IAFA Ayurveda’s continued efforts toward developing structured, personalized, and digitally supported approaches to Ayurvedic allergy assessment and management.
