We are delighted to announce that a recently published research article in the International Journal of Advanced Research (IJAR) presents a groundbreaking Ayurvedic case study demonstrating successful management of multiple food allergies associated with allergic rhinitis through a gut–immune restoration approach.
The study, led by Dr. Sahil Gupta, documents the case of a 29-year-old female suffering from lifelong nasal allergy, throat irritation, eye itching, and intolerance to multiple foods including dairy, citrus, and processed items. The patient underwent a structured Ayurvedic therapeutic protocol involving digestive detoxification (Aama Pachana), metabolic enhancement (Agni Deepana), and channel purification (Srotoshodhana) using IAFA’s proprietary formulations and classical therapies like Pratimarsha Nasya, Akshi Tarpan, and herbal Rasayana preparations.
Over five months of treatment, the patient experienced approximately 80% improvement in nasal and throat symptoms and 60–70% relief from food intolerances. No adverse effects or relapses were observed during the follow-up period. The intervention also led to improved digestion, vitality, and overall quality of life.
This case report provides clinical evidence supporting Ayurveda’s potential to manage chronic allergic disorders by correcting underlying digestive and immune imbalances. The study emphasizes the gut–immune axis as a critical therapeutic target, aligning ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern immunological insights.
Dr. Gupta’s findings highlight that Ayurveda offers a safe, integrative, and holistic approach for patients with chronic food allergies and allergic rhinitis, conditions often resistant to conventional management.
