IAFA® (Institute of Applied Food Allergy) proudly announces the publication of a landmark clinical case study on Ayurvedic management of Sun Allergy (Solar Urticaria) in the International Journal of Advanced Research (IJAR), October 2025 issue. The study is authored by Dr. Sahil Gupta, CEO & Founder of IAFA® Ayurveda.
Solar Urticaria is a rare and stubborn allergy where even short exposure to sunlight can cause severe itching, burning sensations, redness, and blister-like eruptions. The published case features a 75-year-old patient from the USA suffering from intense sun intolerance along with food-triggered allergic reactions, both conditions failing to improve with standard modern treatments.
At IAFA®, the patient was treated through a personalized, root-cause–oriented Ayurvedic protocol using IAFA®’s proprietary formulations, targeted Pitta balancing, toxin elimination, and restoration of gut–immune harmony. Alongside these, personalized diet and lifestyle guidance played a key role in rebuilding internal strength and skin tolerance.
Over the course of treatment, the patient experienced a complete recovery, regained normal exposure to sunlight, and showed significant improvement in overall health without dependence on steroids or temporary symptom-suppressing therapies.
This published case reflects the Ayurveda’s capability to manage complex allergic disorders safely and scientifically, offering a sustainable approach to conditions where conventional care often falls short.
IAFA® continues to push boundaries in evidence-based Ayurvedic research, setting new standards in global allergy care through innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-centered outcomes.
